Buddha Airlines has started it’s Pokhara – Nepalgunj – Pokhara regular flights from 1st of August 2021. This connects the capital of Gandaki Province, Pokhara with the city of Nepalgunj in the west with three flights every week.

The station manager of Buddha Airlines Mr. Gautam Baral, President of NATTA Gandaki Mr. Sanjaya Kant Sigdel, Vice President Mr. Hariram Adhikari and other representatives from businesses in Pokhara bid farewell to the passengers of the first flight from Pokhara to Nepalgunj at the Pokhara Airport today.

Station Manager Mr. Gautam Baral said that the flight is currently being conducted with 18 seater Beechcraft 1900 D series aircraft and both the flights to and from Nepalgunj is fully occupied for the first flight. As the demand increases, Buddha Airlines will change the aircraft to a bigger one to accommodate all the passengers.

President of NATTA Gandaki, Mr. Sanjaya Kant Sigdel says both the flights today were full and the flight scheduled for next day had a 50% occupancy already. He expressed that this flight will be useful to the domestic as well as foreigners who wanted to visit the western Nepal, with most inquiries for Rara Lake. NATTA Gandaki had previously organized chartered flights on this sector to accommodate with the demands of the passengers. He adds, with the scheduled flights of Buddha Airlines, it will now be easier for people of even Lucknow and Kanpur from India and the people of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces to travel to Pokhara.

The air ticketing coordinator of NATTA Gandaki Mr. Sandip Shrestha says this flight along with the Bhairahawa and Bharatpur sector with Pokhara will now make it easier for the people of southern Nepal to come to Pokhara for traveling during the summer. Sandip also added that Pokhara – Nepalgunj was one of the most inquired flight sectors even before this scheduled flights were announced.

The businesses of Pokhara along with NATTA Gandaki have requested Buddha Airlines to start Pokhara – Simara flights together with the State Government of Gandaki State. Station Manager Mr. Baral says that preparations for both Simara and Biratnagar are under way and will be announced soon.

बुद्ध एयरले आइतबारदेखि पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज सिधा हवाई उडान सुरु गरेको छ । गण्डकी प्रदेशको राजधानी र नेपालगञ्ज जोड्ने गरी बुद्ध इयरले हप्ताको तीन दिन नियमित उडान सुरु गरेको हो । 

पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज सिधा हवाई उडान पहिलो पटक शेडूयल अनुसार सुरु भएको हो । बुद्ध एयरले पहिलो चरणमा आइतबार, बुधबार र शुक्रबार गरी हप्तामा तीन दिन पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज उडान सुरु गरेको बुद्ध एयरका पोखरास्थित स्टेशन म्यानेजर गौतम बरालले जानकारी दिए । १८ सिट क्षमताको बीचक्राप्ट १९०० डी सिरिजको जहाजबाट उडान सुरु भएको बरालले बताए । यात्रुको चाप बढ्दै गए दैनिक वा ठुलाआकारका जहाज समेत चलाउने गरी उडान सुरु भएको स्टेशन म्यानेजर बरालले बताए । 

पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज हवाई उडान सुरु संगै आइतबार पोखराबाट नेपालगञ्ज जाने र नेपालगञ्जबाट पोखरा आउने दुबै उडानमा फुल क्यापसिटी १८ जना यात्रु आउ जाउँ गरेका छन् । बुधबारकालागि पनि अहिले नै ९ जनाले बुक गरिसकेको र बुकिङ गर्ने क्रम भइरहेको नेपाल एसोसिएसन अफ टूर एण्ड ट्राभल एजेण्ट्स (नाट्टा) गण्डकीका अध्यक्ष सञ्जयकान्त सिग्देलले बताए । 

पोखराबाट बद्रिया, रारा ताल जाने आन्तरिक र विदेशी पर्यटकले पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज उडानका बारेमा निकै सोधीखोजी गर्ने भएपछि नाट्टाले पहिलो चरणमा यात्रुको मागलाई ध्यानमा राखेर चाट्र्ड उडान सुरु गरेको सिग्देलले बताए । बुद्धले शेड्रयल नै बनाएर उडान गर्ने भएपछि भारतको लखनउ, कानपुर सम्म र कणाली र सुदुपश्मिका नेपाली नागरिकलाई पनि पोखरा आउजाउमा सहज हुने उनले सुनाए । 

बुद्धले पोखरा–नेपालगञ्ज उडान सुरु गरे संगै गण्डकी र लुम्बीनी प्रदेशका दुई सहर संग सिधै पर्यटक आउजाउ गर्न सक्ने भएकोले गर्मी छल्न नेपाली र भारतीय पर्यटक सिधा पोखरा आउन सक्ने अवस्थाको सृजना भएको नाट्टा गण्डकीका एयर टिकटीङ संयोजक सन्दिप श्रेष्ठले बताए । उडान सुरु नहुँदै स्वदेशी र विदेशी पर्यटकले पोखराबाट नेपालगञ्ज जाने र नेपालगञ्जबाट पोखरा आउने विमान चल्ने नचल्ने बारे निकै सोधखोज गर्ने गरेको पनि उनले बताए । 

पोखराका पर्यटन व्यवसायीले पोखरा देखि सिमरा र विराटनगर पनि उडान गर्न वायुसेवा कम्पनी संग अनुरोध गर्दै आएका छन् । गण्डकी प्रदेश सरकारले पनि वायुसेवा कम्पनीलाई अनुरोध गर्दै आएको छ । पोखरा–सिमरा उडान पनि छिट्टै गर्ने गरी तयारी गरेको बुद्ध एयरका पोखरास्थित स्टेशन म्यानेजर गौतम बरालले जानकारी दिए । पोखरा–बिराटनगर उडानका विषयमा पनि बुद्ध एयरले उडान संचालनका विषयमा छलफल चलाई रहेको उनले बताए ।
