With the initiation of NATTA Gandaki province, Gandaki State Government and the scheduled operations from Buddha Air, a regular flight on the sector Pokhara – Simara – Pokhara has commenced from September 1st, 2021.

This direct flight from Pokhara to Simara will reduce the travel time from a would-be 10 hour long road trip to just a 30 minutes flight. The flights on this sector will be an important connection between Province 2 and Gandaki Province. Simara Airport is near to the India-Nepal border from which the majority of Indian tourists arrive in Nepal and NATTA Gandaki believes that this flight will be beneficial to the Indian tourists who want to visit Pokhara or Muktinath, along with the ease of connections for the domestic tourists inside of Nepal as well. 

NATTA Gandaki also believes this flight to be a catalyst in improving the hard-hit tourism sector to recover from the global pandemic.

Buddha Airlines has scheduled this flight for every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday on a 18 seater Beechcraft 1900D aircraft, and promises to increase the number of flights or change aircraft to a 72 seater ATR as the demands increase.

Today, a team of tourism entrepreneurs and stakeholders on the leadership of Honorable Minister of Tourism, Industry, Commerce & Supplies Mr. Madibhadra Sharma including representatives from Nepal Tourism Board, Pokhara Tourism Council, NATTA Central President Mr. Achyut Guragain, NATTA members, and journalists have traveled to Simara on the first flight from Pokhara. Coordinator of the program, vice – president of NATTA Gandaki Mr. Hari Ram Adhikari will lead this team to a seminar on recovering the domestic tourism industry in a joint program by NATTA Gandaki Province and NATTA Province 2. Founding president of NATTA Gandaki Mr. Krishna Prasad Bastola bid farewell to this team.

The team will then join the 3 day program regarding the visits of tourist destinations in Province 2 and interaction program organized by NATTA Province 2.

 Also today, the passengers arriving to Pokhara from Simara on the first flight were welcomed by a team of NATTA Gandaki led by the second vice-president Mr. Kishor Dahal.

President of NATTA Gandaki Mr. Sanjaya Kant Sigdel has expressed his best wishes to Buddha Air family with the commencement of the flights on this sector.

नाट्टा गण्डकी प्रदेश र गण्डकी प्रदेश सरकारले बिगत केहि समयदेखि प्रयास गरेको पोखरा – सिमरा उडान आज देखि नियमित रुपमा हुने गरी सुरू भएको छ। बुद्ध एअरको उडान मार्फत हरेक आइतबार, बुधबार र शुक्रबार एक उडान हुनेछन् र अवास्यकता अनुसार उडान अथवा जहाज विस्तार गरिने भएको छ।

आज पोखरा देखि सिमराको पहिलो उडानमा गण्डकी प्रदेशका माननीय पर्यटन, उधोग, बाणिज्य तथा आपूर्तिमन्त्रि श्री मणिभद्र शर्मा कँडेल सहित नेपाल पर्यटन बोर्डका प्रतिनिधि, नाट्टा केन्द्रका अध्यक्ष अच्युत गुरागाईं, पोखरा पर्यटन परिषदका प्रतिनिधि, पर्यटन सम्बद्ध क्षेत्रका पदाधिकारी तथा संचारकर्मी सहभागी भई सिमरा जानुभएको छ। कार्यक्रम संयोजक नाट्टा गण्डकीका उपाध्यक्ष हरिराम अधिकारीले नाट्टा गण्डकी र नाट्टा प्रदेश २ को आयोजनामा अन्तरिक पर्यटन पुनरुत्थान सम्बन्धि छलफल तथा अन्तरक्रिया कार्यक्रमा वहाँहरुलाई सहभागी गराउनुहुनेछ। उक्त समूहलाई नाट्टा गण्डकीका संस्थापक अध्यक्ष कृष्ण प्रसाद बास्तोलाले बिदाई गर्नुभएको थियो।

उक्त छलफल कार्यक्रम पश्चात, यो समुह नाट्टा प्रदेश २ ले आयोजना गरेको ३ दिने प्रदेश २ का पर्यटकिय गन्तव्यहरुको भ्रमण तथा अन्तरक्रिया कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुनेछ।

साथै आज सिमराबाट पहिलो उडानमा पोखरा आउने यात्रुलाई नाट्टा गण्डकीका द्वितिय उपाध्यक्ष किशोर दाहाल सहितको टोलिले पोखरामा स्वागत गर्नुभएको छ।

नाट्टा गण्डकी यस उडानले पोखरा र सिमराको पर्यटनलाई टेवा पुग्ने बिश्वास गर्नुका साथै प्रदेश २ र गण्डकी प्रदेश बीचको यो सम्बन्धले थुप्रै नेपाली दाजुभाई दिदीबहिनीहरुलाई समेत सहज हुनेछ भन्ने आशा गर्दछ । बिरगंज, रक्सौल नाकाबाट नेपाल आउने भारतीय पर्यटकलाई पनि अब पोखरा र आसपासका क्षेत्र आउन धेरै सहज र छिटो हुनेछ र पोखरा र आसपासका क्षेत्र देखी रक्सौल/बिरगंज जाने नेपालीहरुलाई पनि यस उडानले धेरै सहज हुने बिश्वास पनि गर्दछौं।

साथै कोभिड-१९को विश्वव्यापी महामारीले थलिएको पर्यटन व्यवसायलाई पनि पुनरुत्थान गर्न यस उडानले टेवा पुर्याउने बिश्वास गर्दछ।
