Message from NATTA Central President

Greetings and Welcome to the NATTA Gandaki Province website, a valuable resource to connect and network with the undertakings of the association through information and technology.

The followed year had brought a challenge none of us have faced in our lifetime: a global pandemic. The COVID 19 effect impacted the whole world causing enormous damage to the economy, and economic recovery to the pre-COVID-19 level is expected to take considerable time and as for the tourism industry, it has been the greatest challenge. Yet, we are not down. We do still have hopes that the situation would improve and tourism will soon revive going out of its way amidst the unforeseen challenges hindering its path.

NATTA and the tourism fraternity stood together in raising a common voice for the revival of tourism, and for the support of tourism entrepreneurs during the challenging time. NATTA has been lobbying with the government to come up with policies to facilitate the mobility of foreign visitors in our country following Safety Protocols. We feel Nepal is ready to welcome visitors from foreign countries following the protocols. As of to-day, tourism in Nepal is safe and secured. The invaluable smile and unparalleled hospitality of Nepalese people await their visitors with greater zeal and enthusiasm.

Nepal is a country situated on the lap of the majestic Himalayan range and stands unique as a destination for the tourists for its amazing natural and cultural heritages providing the best in trekking, mountaineering, rafting and jungle safari etc. and is a melting pot of Hinduism and Buddhism. Any visitor coming to Nepal doesn’t return home without visiting Pokhara in Nepal, one of the most coveted destinations for all kinds of travelers, especially in adventure tourism. It is a small township but has amazing lakes mountains, hills and rivulets and is gifted by nature, her splendour and gorgeous beauty. It will soon have an international regional airport. Centrally located with all accessibility to Lumbini, Palpa, Chitwan and Kathmandu.

I strongly believe no hardship can ever deter us from our way further, we have to equip better to overcome them and keep on paving our path with effective marketing tools and strategies. I’m delighted with our Provinces over the year, promoting tourism all over the nation for their part and encouraging the meaningful engagement of our members and tourism stakeholders with opportunities for the growth of domestic tourism.

I would like to extend my appreciation to the existing Executive Committee of NATTA Gandaki Province for their great accomplishments in making Province 4 a most coveted destination for domestic as well as international visitors. All your meticulous and scrupulous performances to heighten the image of NATTA and to make tourism a perennial source of better economy in the region will always be applauded by the people in all sectors.

My best wishes ever!

Stay safe and healthy everyone.
